I designed this poster based around the idea of Peter pan and his shadow. The plot of my story is of a modern day society with a girl Lily who is a normal girl she has a job, home and thinks he is fairly normal, However she is actually a princess who went missing as a young girl and was found by a family who raised her the shadow is her true identity that never left her and was always a part of her she just needed to discover herself.

My poster is black and white which is unconventional for a Disney film poster however since my film is a modern day take on Disney I wanted it to demonstrate to the audience that even in modern day happy endings are possible but you sometimes have to work for it.

I chose to put the writing in pink and in that font to still show a sense of elegance, love and that it is still disney not a dark sad film.

I kept the photo black and white, I chose these colours because they are a good contrast with the pink and white is associated with light, goodness, innocence and purity. It is considered to be the color of perfection. White means safety, purity, and cleanliness. As opposed to black, white usually has a positive connotation. White can represent a successful beginning. I chose black because it is associated with power and mystery. Black is a mysterious color associated with fear and the unknown which is why i chose it to show her past is a mystery and her true identity is unknown to everyone.
