Benidorm was first broadcasted on Tuesday night at 9pm on ITV after the watershed because it contains some inappropriate content for younger audiences. Benidorms audience is targeted at the age range from 18-35, it is scheduled of this time for the back to work/ school mood to cheer them up. Benidorm is in the C,D,E audience category. It is on ITV because it is a more common channel and Benidorm mocks society and status.

Room 101 is broadcasted on BBC ONE on a Friday night at 8:30 pm before the watershed as it is more of a family programme and more sophisticated. Room 101s target audience is age range from 25-54, it is scheduled at this time for the viewers who have just got home and want something light to watch. Room 101 is in the A,B,C because the host is more sophisticated and is a contains more higher quality content this is why it is on BBC ONE because it is a more recognised institution and is more appealing to higher class of viewers.

Room 101 is pleasurable to its audience, because the presenter (frank skinner) , topics, set and theme tune are all more sophisticated and the audiences as targeted for the A,B,C viewers they can enjoy the programme more than if it was more common. Secondly the viewers can feel more involved in the programme and situations the celebrities want to put in room 101 and even though it is not necessarily a game you can win if your item if chosen you feel you have won.

The entertainment in this is mostly sarcasm, jokes and mockery of society.
